This place was perfect for us. We’ve never been to Athens so it was luck to find such a great location. We also ended up arriving hours early but exhausted so it was a great relief they were able to let us in early. The neighborhood, Anafiotika, is so unique. You can read about it on Atlas Obscura. One of the best things about this location was that I took my 6 year old back for a nap while the rest of my family explored nearby. We stayed the whole time within walking distance. There were a few tours and plenty of interested people stopping to see the ruins out front. From the roof patio, we could hear music and thrum of the Plaka neighborhood, which emphasized how nice & quiet it was at this house. We didn’t get the tub full but no one minded. We heard summer was the best for Greece but April was so nice, any hotter would have been too much. If we have time again to revisit we would aim for spring or fall and would definitely stay here again.

If you’re visiting Athens for the historical sites, you could not stay in a better location! As soon as you step out of the airbnb, you are looking at the Acropolis grounds (as the name of the listing suggests!). The apartment was quaint, clean and very comfortable for 5 travelers. I will note that the pull-out mattresses are extremely uncomfortable, but we just folded them back up and slept on the couches instead which were very comfortable. The cabinets were stocked with plenty of extra blankets to make the switch, so it wasn’t an issue for us. The host was so communicative even months out, and arranged van transport for us to and from the airport - which you NEED because the streets leading to the airbnb are extremely narrow and winding, and filled with tourists. We appreciated being dropped off and picked up right at our gate! Overall wonderful stay, incredible value for the location and views.

Probably the best listing I've ever stayed at. The location can't be beat, located just between numerous historic sites (with one below your feet!) and the vibrant district of Plaka. The Airbnb was pristine, spacious, and quickly felt like home. The view from the balcony upstairs can't be beat, with the Acropolis on one side and a stunning view of Athens on the other. Wifi, TV, and shower worked great, we always had hot water. The only thing to keep in mind is that due to the ruins in the front porch, it's not too uncommon for other tourists to mill about outside. I don't see this as a negative at all, as the house insulates outside noise very well, and there are curtains for privacy. We were not bothered whatsoever. Hosts were fantastic, proactive, very responsive and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and were very knowledgeable. Cannot recommend this place enough! Thank you Steven and Timotheos! :)
