We loved Dominic ! He helped us book a horse ride to Xuanantuich and Tikal, plus he cooked dinner for us a couple of nights. He is well read and we enjoyed talking with him in the evening. He has a beautiful place! You can see Part of the Xunantunich temple from the dinning area. And its a short walk to the river from his place. The mattress was nice and firm so we slept well there! I cannot imagine that there is a better place to stay near San Ignacio!

Nabitunich Ranch was a fantastic stay. Beautiful surrounding and Dominic was a great host, generous and extremely knowledgeable.

I’ve visited this place many many times over the years. This was probably close to my 20th stay, I’ve lost count! I’ve brought lots of friends and family members, all of whom have had an equally wonderful experience. Dominic and the entire Juan family and staff provide you with excellent hospitality. Definitely make sure you have some coffee here. They grow their own coffee right on the farm! They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. You will not go hungry here as they feed you very well. Much of the food you eat is fresh from their farm, or from a local one nearby. I make it a rule that I will only eat dinner with them when in Belize because the evening discussions are part of the experience for me. It’s like visiting family every time, and it’s a huge part of why I can’t stop coming back. The farm these cottages are on is the most beautiful place in the entire world. Every night you are presented with the most magical sunset. You can even see the Xunantunich archaeological site right from the cozy lounge! In fact, you can also ride horseback up to the ruins right from the farm. I definitely recommend doing so. The cottages actually host archeological students who work on the Xunantunich site each year, which is really cool to me. The cottages hold a lot of history, and you’ll find the Juan family has extensive knowledge of the history of Belize as well as tips on what to do during your stay. If you’re a bit nervous about not having AC, just know that they have excellent ceiling fans in each cottage. They are seriously strong and will cool you down quickly. As you can tell, I definitely recommend staying here!
