I was in Corpus for a fishing trip, and the house was a wonderful peaceful place to relax. It was away from the main downtown and busy SPID/Staples but that was a plus for me. If you want to go there its only about 15 minutes away, also close to Mustang Island/North Padre. Freddie replied quickly to my messages, very responsive to my questions and gave me great recommendations when I asked.

Great stay! Quiet neighborhood and not too far from restaurants or other stores. Nice that it was away from all the typical traffic.

Freddie is THE coolest host ever. The biggest part would be his location here in Corpus for me especially. A: it's not in Corpus (kinda busy, strip malls, big subdivisions, traffic) and it's not beach side with the crowding and condos ( note: there are hosts out there however, I greatly value privacy and being surrounded is not my preference) Hence Freddie's place. Located on the SW side of Flour Bluff. Very, very quiet and peaceful. Never any traffic, an awesome grocery store within 10min. Wallymart 13min. beach (beyond awesome) 15min., and if you need to go to major mall stuff 15 to 20 to downtown sites. The small prop planes that fly are OUR piolets training to defend us and are supratic..never early or late, and NO jet engines. Neighbors are awesome, and dog only barks when here's someone out front.. so kinda nice "watchdog" appreciated as he doesn't bark long. Furnishings beachy cozy, chilly AC, awesome ceiling fans, windows with screen (when it's nice out) , washer dryer in unit, plenty of space for toys (I had MTB, 3 surfboards, fishing poles-tackle, dive gear) it all fit easily in laundry room and not in main unit. Lastly, the awesome deck!!!! 2nd story lin the treetops. A great place to chill/work/socializing. WiFi is al so great. Bottom line..peace and quiet with awesome amenities, in the middle of Corpus Christi with an awesome responsive host that goes out of his way to accommodate his guest. Highly recommend, and a great value!

Perfect place for a short stay for one or a couple. Be prepared to walk up stairs and don't mind the neighbors dog. He only barks when he sees you come & go. Freddie was quick to communicate as needed with us! If you're looking for simple & inexpensive place to stay this is the one.
