Fantastic house and just what we needed for a month away! Conveniently (and elegantly) fenced in , the house felt very private despite being in a well populated area with everything you need just down the street. Downtown Palm Springs, the airport, desert, and casinos are all just a short drive away making it a super convenient location. The pool and spa were nice to have but take a little practice to figure out the heating. The water stayed surprisingly cool, despite the 100+ degree weather, but the solar cover worked great to heat it up. just have to remember to add it to your routine. Due to the desert winds (strong!) it can get a little dusty and sandy but we just took it as part of the experience! Katie and Patrick were great hosts and always quick to reply whenever we had any questions or concerns. Make sure you take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Awesome experience and 30 degrees cooler at the top!

We really enjoyed Katie’s property both her and Patrick are great hosts They were available whenever we called for questions The back yard is fabulous We spent a lot of time enjoying the sun in the yard our grandchildren loved the pool and hot tub when they visited The beds are very comfortable The kitchen is good size and the extra fridge in the casita was a good spot for drinks when in the back yard The location was good very quiet neighbourhood and central for everything in the area we would definitely stay again

Katie was super fast and kind in her communication, and Patrick was quick to come in-person when issues arose. It was nice to have a fully fenced yard so my small dog could run around without issue. And the wifi was fast and reliable, great for 2 people working remotely. A few things that came up in our stay that would be helpful for other guests to know: The outdoor area is great for sunbathing but the neighborhood is very loud so that impacted our outdoor time. We stayed at Katie's place for a month, including over Christmas. In the week leading up to Christmas, there were fireworks set off every night including through 3:30am on Christmas Eve right next door. It was deafening and terrified our dog. We literally rented a hotel room in a different town on New Years Eve to avoid the ongoing fireworks and get a good night's sleep. Neighbors also threw regular parties throughout the month on weekdays or weekends with loud music. Quiet daytime music was kind of nice but not the norm. From mid-Dec to mid-Jan when we were there, the unheated pool was never warm enough for us to swim despite using the solar cover around the clock. It was ice cold and we only got in for 10 seconds as a "cold plunge" before running to the hot tub. The hot tub takes ~4 hours to heat up and the heating up process can only start once the pool auto-clean stops at 1pm so you can functionally only use it after 5pm. Probably more of an issue for winter guests like us. The casita is also too cold to stay in at this time of year. It only has a space heater which isn't powerful enough to heat the space, even if on around the clock. Even working from the desk in there during the day with the space heater on never felt cozy at this time of year. We had some big rains and the casita leaked significantly but Patrick came and patched it up after. We also had a hot water issue and they had a technician come quickly. Communication and responsiveness were great, though I'd likely stay elsewhere next time based on the noisy neighborhood.

Me, my husband and our dog had a wonderful stay at Katie's place. The neighborhood is quiet, safe and walkable. There are grocery stores, drug stores and restaurants with in a mile and downtown Palm Springs is just a quick drive away. The house had everything we needed, even beach towels and pool floaties. We had guests for a couple of weekends so we stayed in the casita. It was super comfy and quiet. The second fridge was nice to have also. But the main attraction was the pool and spa area. We were able to use the pool til the middle of November using the solar blanket. And the spa was wonderful on the cool nights. There is plenty of seating around the pool deck. The yard, front and back, is completely fenced and secure. It was nice to be able to let our dog wander around as she pleased. Katie was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We highly recommend Katie's place!
