I absolutely loved my stay with Edgar, Richard and their cute friendly doggo Cam. The downstairs area is peaceful and private, and the thoughful touches made me feel welcome. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe knowing they were nearby and slept like a baby every night (I still dream about their memory foam pillows). The house is super clean, tucked in trees, abundant natural light, surrounded by nature. I saw deer regularly, prancing through the yard, there are many trails and parks nearby, the neighbors are super friendly, my pup and I loved our daily walks and I feel lucky to have found this special place!

I had a wonderful stay during my 8 week internship in northern VA this summer. I highly recommend their place to anyone looking to have a long, or even a short stay in northern VA. They’re great hosts and the space is immaculate!

This was the longest I've stayed in an airbnb by far; I stayed a total of 44 days, receiving medical treatment at Inova Schar. Staying with Dean, Richard, and their quiet, well-behaved dogs was truly a home away from home. I was able to host a guest twice, due to the second bedroom. The beds were comfortable and firm, the ground-floor space was bright and cheerful due to large windows, and the historic, 50s-era neighborhood with mature trees just coming into leaf felt cozy and safe. The airbnb location off of Gallows Road in Falls Church cannot be beat, close to 495, Annandale Road, Little River Turnpike, and Route 7, it is at the crossroads of all the major Northern Virginia/DC arteries. There is convenient bus service, the Orange and Blue metro lines, and quick travel into DC, with all its free national museums and other sights. I have rated the Tree House 5 stars across the board, because it was truly a wonderful experience during a potentially stressful time in my life.

As I've now had two stays with Dean & Richard (a continuous one, really!), I can only say how much more I appreciated their hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail (Vera Wang towels folded like Martha Stewart does). I felt welcomed from day 1. They are amazing hosts - communicative, responsive, friendly, and super helpful. I actually enjoyed the covid stay at home orders as their home is so lovely and is surrounded by nature, so you feel like you are living up in the tree tops as the views are fantastic. My dog loved playing in their two yards and chasing the foxes we saw every day. It really is the perfect setup - you have your own large light-filled rooms (including a kitchenette) down below, a room to watch tv, etc, but can go upstairs to use the full kitchen as well. Their pups are adorable too. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated having such wonderful hosts and a sweet place to live and feel safe during these challenging times. And due to my germaphobe upbringing, I can truly say I felt safe there given all the precautions they take inside and outside the house to stay healthy. Finally, when you do need to venture out - great grocery stores (Mom's Market, etc), restaurants, and shopping (Mosaic District) are a 5-10 minute drive away. The Beltway is 2 minutes away, but you'd never know it as you're surrounded by nature and trees in the historic and beautiful Holmes Run Acres part of town. Dean & Richard are truly lovely people, as is their home. Thanks R&D!
