Initially, you'll be greeted by me for a "legit" NYC home sharing experience with a seasoned host who lives in the apartment. I've been hosting travelers from all over the world for 7 years. This is not a rental where no one is home; someone is here with you most of the time :-) Our apartment is situated in a small private quiet building. We're on the second-floor walk-up within a long spacious unit, which allows for plenty of space and privacy between guests and I. You're renting the bedroom, not the entire apartment. I live and work from home. But you will have full access to all the necessities a traveler would need. Feel free to grab a snack if you see something you like. You don't have to ask :-) In the back of the apartment I may have an incense burning or spa-like scents radiating from my oil burner on my console. I'm a creative writer and editor & this peaceful practice is relaxing and inspires creative energy. If you don't care for incense & the scent of candles periodically, this booking may not be a good fit for you :-( If you're independent and okay with self-service, this is the perfect accommodation for you! I go above and beyond to keep the unit clean and comfortable for guests who want to chill out and live like the locals, but return home to a peaceful oasis. There's one full bathroom with bathtub and shower that we share. The second washroom is reserved for guests and is dedicated to blow-drying hair, doing make-up, or using the face-bowl and toilet for longer periods of time. This helps keep the main bathroom with shower and bathtub free for whoever needs it. It's always smooth sailing in the mornings because it's usually just us +1 at the most.
