A pizza van serves excellent wood-fired pizzas in the village each Wednesday and a fish and chip van visits on Fridays. The local area is well served with pubs and restaurants. Chulmleigh, 10 minutes’ away, is a charming town with two pubs, a lovely restaurant, an Indian restaurant/takeaway, a convenience store, newsagent/post office, bakery and a traditional butcher. The Grove Inn, voted North Devon’s Best Pub by CAMRA, in King’s Nympton, is a 12-minute drive away and serves delicious food.
