We had a really lovely, peaceful stay in this gorgeous converted chapel. The communication prior to check-in had been excellent and we really appreciated the basket of welcome goodies. There were 13 of us and it had ample space for everyone, grown ups and children alike. The bedrooms were perfect for the group and the communal space was superb. We had horrendous weather while staying unfortunately, which meant we didn't venture out at all during our 2 night trip, but we didn't feel we needed to. We did find the communal space quite chilly and had to purchase more logs because it was so cold, which seemed a little unfair as it wasn't our fault that we were staying in cold weather - the hot tub also wasn't really that hot for us until the final morning of our stay, although that may have been due to the weather? The hot water in the house wasn't great when multiple people wanted a shower (ie. after hot tub) - very low pressure - electric showers would be better. Overall, lovely!

We had a spectacular stay at the chapel to celebrate my 30th birthday. It was cosy and comfortable and it had a lot of character which made us feel at home. The hot tub was really fun and had a great temperature, nice and hot! The place has a fantastic view in the mornings looking over the rolling hills of Devon and the road is nice and quiet. If you're looking for somewhere quite remote and out in nature it's definitely a perfect spot. The welcome hamper was a really lovely touch that provided us with great snacks and comforting drinks. There are plenty of kitchen facilities, the beds are super comfortable, the games are super fun and the fire was exquisite with the logs being plenty for a long-time use. Thank You to Rach and the whole team, it made a very important birthday super special for me, we had a wonderful time xx

Mews Cottage is a five bedroom period property near Bath, UK and North Lake Chapel is a large period property set in the stunning North Devon countryside (with hot tub and log burner!). We aim to offer a fabulous experience for large groups at a great price. Our previous guest reviews speak for themselves. We live in the gorgeous city of Bath, and are always on hand to ensure our guests have a memorable stay.
