Linda was a great host. Very friendly and generous. Leadhills is a really lovely and friendly village. A beautiful walk close by to Wanlockhead and then back down to Leadhills via the narrow gauge railway. I would love to go to the railway museum when it’s open in the summer, but in winter you can walk down the rails. The local pub and hotel is very cosy with loads of food options. The cottage is so warm! It was great to be cosy then head out in the blustery February wind and rain, knowing you could go back to a very warm cosy place on return :) Definitely recommend.
