Have to say that this location is an absolute gem. Myaelf and two pals based oursleves here for a motorcycle trip. I can only say that the place was immaculate, well furnished and homely. we got soaked on the rrip up and the log fire was already set all we needed was to set it away. All three of us chilled out and moreover we all slept really well something we all struggle with generally. Location is quite remote, the village is quaint and there are plenty of places to walk. For the motorcyclist, easy acces to the usual gems around Moffat, Peebles and Dumfries and Galloway, Ayr. All in all the stay was fantastic.. we will mostly likely return here with out hesitation. Jill was super helpful the place is a real credit to her and her family, 5 Stars all round.

Absolutely beautiful house. The most equipped place we’ve ever been! Could easily live there. The extra touches were lovely- human and dog biscuits! Had to turn the heating down it was so warm in the house. Was so lovely with the lambs and mummies passing in front of the house. Beds so comfy. Gill is the perfect host.

Wow - Jill's place is a real gem! Booked for a weekend writing retreat with friends, felt so at home in this beautiful cosy cottage. Lots of space, and so clean. Jill was brilliantly flexible with us and was happy to arrange slightly different check in and out times. The location is also stunning, you step out the door and right into wonderful scenery and walks. Would highly recomend!

Jill was a super host and very responsive. The cottage was outstanding and you could tell the amount of love and hard work that Jill and Steve have put into it. Cottage was well equipped, warm and cosy, a real home from home. We wanted for nothing and wish we had stayed for longer. We loved the location, great walks, interesting museum and lovely pub! Brill swimming pool close to the cottage too which we hired for sole use. We returned home today heavy hearted and wishing we were still there! We will be back soon and thank you Jill for all your help and advice xx
