We love spending time at Smith Lake. This is our second time staying at Roberts beautiful home. He is a wonderful host. Quick to respond to any questions. The house is perfect for families. Lots of space for kids in the bunkroom or the basement with their own TV lounge area. Best area of Smith Lake with beautiful views. If you are looking for a peaceful place to vacation don't hesitate to stay here. You won't regret it! Looking forward to visiting again soon.

Overall, my family made good memories on this trip. The dock was very nice to swim off of and they had plenty of water toys to play with - I highly recommend renting the boat as well - it was a very nice pontoon boat. There were a handful of things we didn't love so much. The area itself was not ideal - yes, it's very remote but it's also way out in the sticks, in a development that didn't have great roads. We couldn't even utilize the driveway because we had an SUV and the slope was too extreme. Another issue was the bedding, every single bed and bedding was extremely uncomfortable and did not make it feel like the value was there for the price. We have two little girls and there was concern about none of the windows having screens or child locks, even though it's a 3-story drop down the cliff if anyone were to open a window. The WIFI did work great, the fridge was big and the kitchen was stocked with everything you need. All in all, I think some ppl will rent it and have a great time - just temper expectations-you're paying for the dock and access to water - not luxurious accommodations.

This location is unbelievable. It is VERY remote, so bring your groceries. There is zero phone signal, but the WiFi was INCREDIBLE. I cannot recommend enough using the recommended personal chef. We also rented Roberts boat while we were there. It was a game changer as far as enjoying the lake. If you were looking for I get away from everything, this is the place to do it. It was a very relaxing and comfortable trip for my family. My four year old said that it was the greatest week of her life.
