Neighbouring villages include Pensilva, with moorland horse riding for all abilities, Minions with walks to the ancient Hurlers stone circles and the Cheesewring rocks, all offering astonishing views of Cornwall to the coast. Local National Trust properties include Cotehele, Buckland Abbey and Lydford Gorge. Gunnislake forms the start of the scenic Tamar Valley (AONB) Railway Line.
