Our cottage in is a completely separate building for your privacy and comfort. Kona Mauna Kai is a small scale farm on the lush slopes of Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii. We offer a retreat from the busy vacationing agenda and serve as a perfect in between stop after enjoying the sites of Kona or Kelakakekua or after a full day in Hilo or Volcano. Choose us as a breath of fresh air before headed to your next destination . Or, kick back and relax for a few days and unwind ... -Easy checkin/checkout. You're given the code to your keybox which is changed with every guest -The farm cottage is completely detached from main house with it's own entrance, kitchen, living area and full bathroom. Other things to note: -Gas Bbq grill and fire pit available -We are on rainwater catchment as most farms in the area. Our water is filtered and goes through a biolight, but we also provide drinking water. Please conserve water to the best of your ability while with us. -We grow and sell a variety of produce such as avocado, macadamia nuts, Kona coffee, oranges, lemons, limes, tangerines, bananas, guava, loquat, and many more. We also leave you a taste of what we have in season to enjoy. - Enjoy roaming around the property, you may see the pheasant family clucking through wild turkeys, our ducks, sheep , chickens , cats, an old friendly doggie that can be a bit barky and a rambunctious puppy.
