Jojo is a friendly hostess. When we arrived, delicious chocolate cookies were ready for us. We got a nice tour of the sheep in the sanctuary. The guest house is beautifully decorated, clean and it is so quiet, you only hear the birds singing. The deer come close in the morning and evening. This place is highly recommended for those who love animals and nature.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Field Shelter. The location is fantastic and you are surrounded by beautiful scenery. Everything was decorated to a high standard and it felt very cosy! Jojo was an excellent host and gave us detailed instructions to find the guesthouse plus recommendations for places to eat nearby.

A wonderful place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet and some outings in the hills. Jojo was very responsive and clear from the beginning that this is a vegan space, which posed us no difficulties. A lovely couple of days. Simon W

A fantastic place: we absolutely loved it. The guest house is immaculate, very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The area is stunning and there are walks right from the door. If you do the circular woodland walk, watch out for the diversions - they send you right up to the top of the mountain – not for the faint-hearted, but worth it for the views! Meeting the sheep was a highlight and very moving. Jojo and Nick are doing fantastic things – we can’t wait to see how it develops. Pitlochry is worth a visit; we had a delicious vegan brunch at Escape Route. Dunkeld & Birnam is absolutely stunning; you can visit the “Macbeth” oak tree in Birnam Wood – unmissable! We found vegan tiffin at Birnam Arts. We can’t praise the Field Shelter highly enough – we hope to go back.
