This lodge is a bit more modern than its historic neighbor and offers open-plan living areas in a relaxed atmosphere. After a snooker game at our 1911's large table, step out of the entertainment area and dive into the sparkling pool on a warm summer’s day. With 4 comfortable rooms, this lodge will feel like your own home in the middle of Africa. You can enjoy your own barbecue around the pool whilst socializing with friends and family. The house is surrounded by nature and the Karoo mountains. Buccara Wildlife reserve is a private Game Reserve approximately a 25-30-minute drive from Graaff-Reinet in Middelburg’s direction. There is also a fair stretch of gravel to travel on before reaching the reserve, half is tar, and the other half gravel. Please make sure that your vehicle is suitable for the gravel road. When you arrive at the gate, you will need to call the number to open the gate so you can gain access to the reserve. These numbers are also up at the gate for your convenience. Please note that there are no restaurants or shops close to the farm. The town is 25 mins from the reserve, so I would advise you to get a few things while passing through town. Mostly good cell phone signal.
