This is undoubtedly one of the historical wonders of the Great Karoo if not all of South Africa. Great care has been taken to preserve the original style of this house with large, spacious rooms overlooking the majestic lawns of the estate. This peaceful queen & twin room with an en-suite full bathroom is an ideal couple holiday resort with an “Out of Africa” movie atmosphere. The house has a communal kitchen and braai area with a dining area. There is a swimming pool with an outside area. The house is surrounded by nature and the Karoo mountains. Buccara Wildlife reserve is a private Game Reserve approximately a 25-30-minute drive from Graaff-Reinet in Middelburg’s direction. There is also a fair stretch of gravel to travel on before reaching the reserve, half is tar, and the other half gravel. Please make sure that your vehicle is suitable for the gravel road. When you arrive at the gate, you will need to call the number to open the gate so you can gain access to the reserve. These numbers are also up at the gate for your convenience. Please note that there are no restaurants or shops close to the farm. The town is 25 mins from the reserve, so I would advise you to get a few things while passing through town. Mostly good cell phone signal.
