There aren't enough words to describe the difference Linda's home made in our time memorializing our father, a Tryon native, though our reservation was thwarted by a bear beneath(discovered day before check in by workers in crawlspace). Her due diligence in consulting resources, problem solving and flexibility with full refund as our family took time to do the same, is unmatched in many prior travels. Though my dad's nickname was Big Bear, & we felt it may be a magical experience, we made other arrangements that left us feeling as comfortable and fulfilled (read our review of Sky View on their page). Thankful are we to have this home and its hosts tethered to our time, not resentful nor bitter about a last minute snafoo. The host was SO gracious and apologetic, a true class act. Please book if you want a home revered (and run) by locals-I will just have to hope those of us who still feel Tryon very much home, despite distance or time, won't be boxed out of our booking.
