Voor de tweede keer hier verbleven. Wederom een super fijne tijd gehad hier. Mooie locatie, lekker rustig, lodge is zoals op de foto's. In de omgeving is heel veel te zien en doen. De host is goed bereikbaar en reageerd heel snel. We komen graag weer eens terug.

Fantastic place and would highly recommend. The views from the property are amazing and you are surrounded by countryside. Short car ride from centre of Tavistock (less than 10mins), with its great indoor market. Nearby places we recommend visiting are Brent Tor - short walk away - and Lydford Gorge and Waterfall. One thing just to keep in mind is that the internet signal is extremely weak at the property and will only just handle receiving and sending emails and other basic things. You won't be able to use any streaming services like Prime, Netflicks etc., just wanted to mention incase you have teenage children! Our stay was only short and therefore this wasn't an issue. We would definitely recommend and will look to come back at some point in the near future.

We had a lovely time here. Picked it due to the pretty and quiet location. Also loved the open plan living space - and fabulous views. It was very clean, well equipped and easy to find. Some things showing signs of wear and tear such as some broken struts on the Venetian blinds. Nice touches with great contact from Justin and a few goodies left for our arrival (thanks and yum!). We had a great time, it was roomy and quiet. Idyllic setting yet close to plenty of places to visit. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I wouldn't be surprised if the hosts dispute our review, but Air BnB has upheld our concerns, issuing a full refund & compensation. We arrived during a wet & rainy period, & the lodge felt damp, unaired & smelled. The hosts disputed this, but this was after we had spent 48 hours airing it. The lodge would have benefitted from being aired and kept warm, but the hosts admitted they knew the thermostat was faulty and the heating had been switched off. We were also concerned to find broken wooden blind slats, leaving exposed sharp edges, trailing blind cords with no breakaway or safety devices to prevent potential trips, strangulation or entanglement risks (now required by law), a broken bath panel leaving sharp edges and entrapment risk, the microwave was faulty and tripped the power twice. The lodge was in need of TLC & maintenance, & didn't represent the listing & amount we paid. The hosts were unwilling to accept this & we left an 8 day stay after 48hrs. Awful experience, beware.
