Na h-Eileanan an Iar · 整套民居 · 3室4床1.0卫 · 可住6人 · Croft House at No:33
A traditional croft house set in the idyllic, peaceful crofting village of South Bragar. The house has uninterrupted views of the Atlantic to the rear and croft land and the hill, Beinn Bragar to the front. No: 33 is located in a central location on the West Side of the island and close to local visitor attractions. No:33 is a spacious, yet cosy island retreat, with a well kept front and back garden and an open fire to enjoy in the evening. No:33 was built in 1926 and is a traditional stone built croft house that has been refurbished to a high standard, while keeping a cosy, homely feel. Downstairs comprises of an entrance hall, dining kitchen, bathroom with shower, a living room with open fire, a large bedroom with twin beds and an entrance porch. There are two spacious bedrooms upstairs, one with a king-size bed, the other with a double bed. The front garden is walled and is the perfect sun trap. The large garden to the rear of the property overlooks the Atlantic and I simply can't think of a finer place to hang clothes out to dry! The back garden is surrounded by croft land, mostly sheep, and is securely fenced. My partner and I, live in a small cabin to the side of the property. We keep ourselves to ourselves unless you need us of course. We have 2 friendly cats, a few chickens and grow our own veg.
Wendy is very welcoming and kind. The house was very Nice with a view on the sea, and the location is great for nature lovers.
Maison spacieuse au calme avec une très jolie vue. Wendy a été discrète et très attentionnée. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et étions contents de retrouver la maison le soir, après des belles journées d'excursion. Merci
Just back from a trip to Lewis to see family , Wendy's place is very idyllic and peaceful with outstanding views especially from the kitchen window , my wife done more dishes in 3 days than she's done in 3 months at home with that view 🤣 , Wendy was very easy to contact and couldn't recommend highly enough, would definitely stay there again 🏴🇮🇪
South Bragar is a crofting community and sheep are kept either side of the house in the surrounding croft land. People are very friendly and will happily stop whatever they are doing for a chat.
There is a petrol station/convenience store 5 miles from the house .
There is a new Community Centre in Bragar which has a great cafe. The food is excellent quality and the cakes are out of this world! You will hear gaelic spoken for sure.
There are many fine restaurants in Stornoway. Please get in touch if you want a recommendation.
Bragar sits on a seldom used single track road which is only a quarter of a mile from the main road. There is a good mini bus service to the main town of Stornoway from the front door twice a day, and several other buses available only a short walk away in the village. There is an excellent mini bus service home from town, which on request will drop you at your front door!
自我介绍
I have been holidaying in the Isle of Lewis for over 20 years feel truly blessed to now live here. I love the wild landscape, big skies and peacefulness of this jewel of an Island. I enjoy road biking on the quiet roads, mountain biking on the numerous peat tracks, swimming in the clear blue seas and running along the wild and rugged coastline. I hope you'll love this place as much as I do.
