While the area is quiet and hidden away, Linden View has the advantage of being a ten minute walk into Louth. There you will find independent shops unique to the town, some national chains and a great variety of places to eat and drink.
The Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is on your doorstep, the seaside is 20 minutes away and the historic city of Lincoln is just 45 minutes by road. There is also motor racing at Cadwell Park, 15 minutes from Louth and horse racing at Market Rasen, 20 minutes down the road.
Dog walkers and ramblers are well catered for - you can join public footpaths from the doorstep which will take you into the heart of the countryside. Further afield, you can walk along the unspoilt coastline in dunes and on deserted beaches. There are many great walks in the Wolds, suitable for all tastes - you can also walk part of the Viking Way, which runs from the banks of the River Humber down to Rutland Water.
The nearest train station to Louth is at Market Rasen or Grimsby and there are bus services between the towns and villages.
Louth was named Britain's Favourite Market Town by Countryfile magazine in 2012, described as a 'foodies paradise', it boasts several butchers, a cheese shop, delic‎atessen, bakers, cafes, pubs, restaurants and independent shops (including a small department store) which really make it unique. There is a market three times a week (the busiest in the region), a farmers' market once a month and Food Friday market every four weeks.
The town also has a three-screen cinema, leisure centre and a golf course. The open spaces of Westgate Fields and Hubbards Hills are just a few minutes' walk from the town centre. Dominating the skyline is St James Church, which has the tallest medieval parish church spire in England. It is open for visitors and has a coffee shop.
