This #1 location was AMAZING, offering convenience and accessibility to nearby Central Park! The host was very professional, attentive and responsive to my needs throughout my stay. The WiFi was working perfectly fine. The bathroom was clean and functional, meeting my basic needs adequately. The standard house rules were reasonable, as expected in every proper home (power off lights/AC, lock doors, recycle…). The utilities fee was clearly communicated to me beforehand, allowing me to plan accordingly. I received all my packages and never had any issues. I used quick wash cycle, kindly suggested by the host in order to preserve water/electricity usage and reduce my footprint on environmental impact. I didn't encounter any issues with my clothing and appreciated having access to free laundry. The room had basic dishes and silverware and I found the overall experience to be great! Perfect Accommodation near Central Park!

The location is great, but the landlord is overbearing and often impolite. Main issues with the listing: - Wifi didn't work most of the time - Bathroom was terrible, and not explained in description (tiny, unclean, hot, irregular water pressure) - Overbearing rules regarding lights being on, AC usage, trash (way beyond simply enforcing recycling). - AC wasn't installed for first 2 weeks. - Additional fee for utilities not part of listing price (mentioned, but still inconvenient). - Very difficult to ship packages to address, sometimes they were stolen. - Host mandated only using rapid cycles on washer/dryer. washer/dryer ruined clothing. - No dishes or silverware, dining table also not present. In general, I wouldn't recommend staying at this place for the price, especially long term.

This was the perfect place to stay, So close to a lot and quiet which is crazy for NY city! The place was exactly like pictured, and super clean! I will definitely be staying here again!!

The host was very professional and accommodating. I loved this amazing location which was in a very close proximity to Central Park where I spend most of my time, enjoy long peaceful beautiful walks… #1 Location Central to all points of interest. I hope to be back soon!

This host is exceedingly unprofessional and rude, and fosters an unsafe environment for their guests. I was harassed by this host for weeks and eventually kicked me out of my room to the streets of NY at 10pm without any prior notice. There were minor issues like going through my trash and answering questions I had, with comments like “this is how things are done in the US”. The major issue was how she declared there would be a room inspection during the middle of my stay, and that she did not want any luggage visible during this time. This was disruptive, and I did not want to store my luggage in a basement as she was proposing. Such an inspection was also not in the house rules, so I respectfully declined. Her reaction to me declining the inspection was completely out of line, and she approached me with anger and screamed that I was “insubordinate” and that I had “screwed her over”. She threw my wet laundry clothes at my door and locked the bathroom so I could not use it and made me leave at 10pm without prior notice. I have objective video evidences to prove this. Do not stay with this host as no one should ever experience such mistreatment and harassment. She will likely respond to this comment trying to tarnish my character as she has with prior guests that have left negative reviews, but please take this as a red flag and warning to not stay here.
