The view out over the lake (and island) is magical and the setting of the garden is spectacular. We enjoyed happy evenings watching the sunset with tasty local wine and food. We hardly went to the local restaurants (which looked good) as we didn’t want to miss evenings in the garden. A few things: 1. David and Christina are fab hosts and set us up nicely with recommendations and things for the kitchen. The house is a true Air bnb with all of the items you’d expect to find in a home (cook books, paddle boards etc) 2. We had a great day at the Chiesa del Carmine winery with David. Really high quality food alongside the wine. 3. Excellent walking trails both right and left out of the apartment (pram friendly, great for running too) 4. Nice day trips to Assisi, Siena etc - very accessible location 5. We stayed in April - bugs were not a problem (not one mosquito bite) and the upstairs was really cool despite the hot weather 6. Very secluded spot In short, fantastic week long stay!

Wir hatten 10 ganz wundervolle Tage im Haus von Chrissie und David. Das Haus und vor allem der Garten und die Lage am See ist absolut einzigartig und wunderschön. Es war für uns der perfekte Ort, um mit unseren Kindern (5, 11 und 12 Jahre) zur Ruhe zu kommen und Kraft zu tanken. Der Blick auf den See und die Sonnenuntergänge waren unbeschreiblich schön. Unsere Kinder hatten so viel Spaß am und im Wasser dank der tollen Ausrüstung von Chrissie und David. Der Pizzaofen war für uns auch ein absolutes Highlight. Aber vor allem möchten wir uns für den herzlichen Empfang durch David bedanken. Wir haben uns auf Anhieb Willkommen und wohl gefühlt und sind wirklich glücklich, dass wir unseren Urlaub in dieser besonderen Unterkunft verbringen durften!

As beautiful as the pictures, this house is private, peaceful and super comfortable. Location wise, we easily travelled around Toscana and Umbria. Chrissie & David have been responsive, attentive and helpful. This house has everything you need and even more. We’re really grateful for spending some time at the lake.

The more time spent here, the harder it became to leave! Tucked away, it is the perfect get away with beautiful sunsets over the lake every evening while enjoying a glass of wine with a fire. Christina & David are fantastic hosts and ensure that you have everything you need. Their recommendations for local restaurants, vineyards, and things to do were all excellent and added to our trip. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a wonderful 2 bed, 2 bath lakefront cottage! I went for six nights by myself for quiet and reflection. Awesome, incredibly beautiful location directly on Lake Trasimeno! Chrissy met me there and reviewed how the house works with me and was good with my early checkin. She and her husband David are so gracious and helpful. Do wine tasting and tour at Chiesa Del Carmine winery, which they manage wonderfully! Go! My plans were altered & she checked in with me even after I had checked out of the house. The kitchen is well stocked and reminded me of my grandma’s kitchen. No microwave, but 2 grills and a large wood burning pizza oven are both great and easy to use. A terrific backyard with fire pit. Kayak, kite-surf, boat. Several small towns. Across the lake views of Castiglione del Lago. Wonderful bike/walking path with bikes & paddle boards. Internet was good and reliable. There are some bugs. They are very manageable. Remember, you will be in the countryside. I’m coming back.
