I have agonized about writing this review.... On one hand, I really appreciate you and I would like to encourage people to do more of what you are trying to do here. On the other hand, I honestly see a number of real problems associated with the accommodations. I certainly do not want to come off 'holier than though', or judgmental, but as I see it, there are a number of things that present real obstacles for most people who would be looking for accommodations in your area. The environment: It would appear that someone is (or has been) involved in a large number of mechanical projects, the remnants of which are strewn about the property. This makes it feel more like staying in a junk yard than staying in the country, on a goat farm. The accommodation was far from peaceful due to the number of dogs barking and the buck goat fighting to get to his herd , (not to mention being just a few yards downwind of his buck stench). The temperature in the building was too high until WAY past sunset. As soon as I walked in the door, I could feel heat radiating from the stove and chimney. Possibly, placing a shroud around the external chimney would help to keep it from heating up so much that it is radiating heat into the interior of the building all day long. As previously, mentioned, not having a screen on the window was very inconvenient because of the amount of moths that were attracted to even the little bit of light on my phone screen, let alone the lamp. And a working, functional fan, would help as well. (I couldn't help but notice that the broken fan stand had been splinted with cardboard, which did not work, while there is the huge amount of metal and wood that could be used so that the fan could be used. A short, 6', extension cord would also be very helpful. While the price you are asking is certainly very reasonable, generally speaking, by the time that the fees are added on, it starts to get as expensive as some of the cheaper motels that can still be found (in some places) that include things like air conditioning and running water, and don't have things like a junk yard, barking dogs and stinky goats. All that said, I appreciate you and what you are trying to do. I do thing there is potential and if that building could be moved a hundred yards, or so, have a separate driveway (not through the junk yard) and have a bit of shade, a window screen, another window for cross ventilation, and working fan, it could go from an uncomfortable stay to a relatively nice and peaceful one.

Great stay out and away! Comfy cabin, brilliant sunsets/rises, and a warm outdoor solar shower. The basics are all here, if disconnecting or minimalist is your jam. Carey and all on the property communicated kindly and with clarity. Hope I can return!

animal and nature lovers, thos is for i. got out from the city life and lived tge simple life out here for a weekend. enjoyed the 20 mile away downtown Omak too. i was offered a horse ride on the mountains for a reasonable cost and it was really beautiful and fun! Carey, the host did well communicating before and during my stay. beats camping anyday and i saw those hotels downtown omak, this was the best choice by far for the $. even though it gets hot in Omak in summer, tge cabon stayed surprisingly cool. bed was comfortable for me enough to sleep in till late am. they have a fridge called old thumper, it makes sone humming noise as its old. you are right near goats and chicjens in theur respective clean pens. the guard dog who is with goats may bark when you go outside near them, but doesnt bark once you are inside.

As described. Make sure not to leave out any food at night as you may get some nice munching on it. That was my fault. Other than that it was good!
