This is more of a hostel style room. The price is per bed. If it’s 2 guests then it will be the price plus the extra guest fee for both beds. Backra`s is located in Portland right next to the most beautiful Beaches in Jamaica, a unique house with art on the walls from a local artist, a big wooden veranda, with a spectacular view overlooking the organic farm and the sea. It is a place to relax and commune with nature. The building is surrounded by the jungle and tropical fruit trees of Jamaica. Connect with the nature, listen to birds and enjoy the view on the veranda. The bedroom has its own Bathroom, a shared kitchen and a huge veranda. You get access to fast internet, which you can use in and around the house. On the wooden veranda, you can find a king size bed to watch the stars at night and a dining area. There is also a hammock to relax, read and meditate, all with direct view to the sea. The colorful bedroom is equipped with a double bed, a wardrobe and big windows too see the amazing view. In the kitchen, you will always find bananas from the farm, Jamaican coffee, sugar, salt and some spices. The House is situated on an organic farm with tropical fruit trees. It`s a place where you can enjoy your privacy and solitude. Backra`s place is also a shelter for Gringo a dog, Mr Greenman a parrot, goats, chickens and pigs.

My stay here was great. I was a little nervous to stay somewhere alone, but location was very secluded and private. Bakra has done an amazing job with the location. Boston Beach was walkable from the Airbnb, and so was food, drinks, fruit stands, etc. The hill was very walkable, as I made it up it very rum drunk several times. The best part was the amazing view and as I called it, the Jamaican wake up call of good music all around me. I recommend laying your towel out on the porch after use so you don’t end up with a damp towel your whole stay like me lol. Place was great and host was amazing, and this town is full of amazing people and experiences. Highly recommend!
Es una casa en una propiedad en lo alto de la montaña, unos 5 min desde la carretera principal. No está muy indicado... el sitio es fiel a las fotos por la vista, pero baño muy escaso.. y mal mantenido. El día que estuvimos al levantarnos no teniamos agua... en fin.. cocina con mucho polvo, poco mantenimiento previo a la llegada del huésped.
Ich hatte mit meinem 8 Jährigen Sohn einen tollen Aufenthalt. Der Weg zum Boston Beach kann man easy laufen und dort schön Surfen. Auch zum Winnifred Strand sind wir gelaufen. Aber wenn ein Taxi kam haben wir das gerne genommen. Auf dem Weg gibt es kleine Shops für Snacks und Getränke. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen man hört die Musik aus dem Tal stört aber nicht und es läuft gute Musik wie überall auf der Insel. Bei unseren Aufenthalt ging teilweise das Wasser nicht. Das lag aber am öffentlichen Netz Backra hat uns aber super mit Wasserkanistern versorgt. Ich will wiederkommen.

Boston Beach is Portland's most famous surfer's beach. From beginners to pros, everyone can book a surf lesson with local teachers. After surfing and jumping from the cliff, some delicious food at Boston Jerk Center will round up a great experience.
Blue Lagoon
Located in SanSan you will find the amazing Blue Lagoon. The water is a mix between sea water and ice cold fresh water and the colours change throughout the day. You can go for a swim and try the flavourful local food or book activities such as diving and rafting
Frenchman's Cove
Located in Drapers the world famous Frenchman's Cove is a must-visit-beach. After walking through green botanic garden, you will reach the charming private beach full of palm trees and good vibes.
Reach Falls
Go on a tour and experience the most stunning waterfalls in Jamaica. Walking up the river through the green forest, you will find beauty everywhere you look. Once you reach the actual falls, a jump into the big lagoon is waiting for you. To boost your energy, you might want to have some roasted fish by the riverside.
Winifred Beach
Winifred Beach is one of Portlands most famous beaches. While chilling on the beach and listening to some nice Reggaemusic you can support the locals by purchasing handmade articles, fresh jelly or food. For some adventure, there is a cliff and a swing to jump from.
Backra`s is located on the hillside in Fairy Hill. Port Antonio is a 20 minutes drive away, where you can visit the markets, have a sunset walk on the waterfront and enjoy the nightlife of Jamaica.
You can easily get around with me as a local taxi or with rental cars.
There are many other things to explore. You can go to the nearby Boston Beach which is 5 minutes away and eat at the famous Jerk Center, swim at Winnifred Beach, Blue Lagoon or Frenchman’s cove. You can also do daytrips to the Blue Mountains, Summerset Falls or Reach Falls.

I'm also a big fan of anything that involves the ocean and starts with an "s", such as scuba diving, swimming, surfing, sailing, and snorkeling.
