This is an amazing location on the French River, close by rapids and with excellent swimming. Loved the away-from-it-all feel including the 1 km hike to the cabin and the rugged river shoreline.

Michelle and Cam were great hosts, always very responsive and friendly and helpful. They even very generously lent us their own private canoe since the cottage one was in for repairs. It's a cozy and beautiful place that's surprisingly roomy. Nestled in the forest just above the river. A fun little adventuresome hike getting from the parking area at the end of rugged little road through the forest to the cabin. Cam welcomed us at the car and carried some of our gear in with his ATV. Nice little thoughtful gestures like a can of bug repellent before the hike and a little gift of wine and beer. The place had everything we needed and even the compost toilet was surprisingly convenient and not unpleasant. The stairs down to the river are so nice and comfortable and the area itself is beautiful. We paddled around and explored and thoroughly enjoyed it. When it rained we took advantage of the board games and relaxed inside. We loved it and would totally come back again! Thank you!

Peaceful and quiet. Pack very light for the hike on muddy trails. The river views are amazing.
