My mother and I stayed here while visiting relatives in the area. James was amenable to us dropping bags a little early since we would be away all day until after dark. It was helpful to find the house in daylight. Darcie was there to greet us and show us around. Everything was bright, cheery and very clean. The location on the Connecticut River is beautiful. We had no trouble finding it using GPS. Being winter, and with short visit, we didn't make use of the outside offerings. But it was great to have access to coffee and other beverages in the morning and sit by the wood pellet stove. Beds were comfortable, bathroom well stocked and Darcie couldn't have been more welcoming! I would definitely consider staying here again.

It really made my trip, in many ways! I learned a lot about the area, was helped when I really needed it, and it was just not what I expected (in a good way!). They’re good hosts!

All of the positive reviews I read before booking were spot on! My sister and I had a very short stay, arriving about 6:30pm (after sunset) and departing at 9:30am. The accommodations were lovely with comfy beds, two sinks and great shower pressure in the bathroom. James greeted us when we arrived, and he and Darcy gave us a tour before we settled in. Darcy makes overnight oats for herself and James every night, and offered to make some for us as well. I'm not a breakfast person but my sister enjoyed hers! I did manage to arise early enough to enjoy the lovely view of the river and grounds before packing up to leave. Darcy also gave us jars of jam on departure...she gave me two of my choice: Spiced Rhubarb and Lemon/Ginger Marmalade. Both are simply divine!! I wish we could have spent more time there, and plan to arrange for a longer stay next time we visit the area! Thank you so much for your company and hospitality, James and Darcy! ❤️️

Darcy and James were very pleasant and accommodating hosts. The accommodations were very comfortable and every detail was in order. I would definitely stay there again.
