AAA+++ We (family of five) had a great time in and around the super beautiful Cottage. Literally everything and more a person needs was available in the house. Open the front door and Dovedale is there for short and long walks/hikes. Around the corner is Polly's for an ice cream, coffee or a snack. we would definitely recommend this destination!
We had a wonderful stay at Andrew’s cottage. We were 2 parents, 2 grandparents, 2 kids ages 5 & 7, and 2 dogs, and it was perfect. Lovely welcome setup with local produce to get us going (sourdough, champagne, marmalade, coffee, tea, jams, etc). Comfortable bedrooms and loos, wonderful warm Aga and a fireplace with logs. Idyllic setting next to the river and so many beautiful walking options right from the front door. Good local pubs too. We felt right at home and really appreciated all the thoughtful gestures our hosts made. Family owned and operated. We hope to be back!
Andrew and Sarah were perfect hosts - responsive, friendly and extremely helpful. The cottage is beautiful, thoughtfully appointed and in an idyllic setting. We had a wonderful stay and very much look forward to returning.
We had a wonderful stay at Andrew’s stunning property. Everything was absolutely spotless and the cottage was tastefully decorated with such care and thought. We loved how dog friendly the place was too. Riley particularly liked curling up in front of the aga. It was a real treat to have such a fab welcome hamper full of goodies including homemade delicious marmalade.. The location was stunning with river views and plenty of walks from the doorstep. We will definitely be back for sure. Andrew could not have been more helpful and our stay was 5 star. Thank you 😊
Absolutely wonderful stay over the Christmas break. One of the best cottages we've ever stayed in, with everything you could possibly need - and more - on tap. Countless extra little touches, incredible generosity, spotlessly clean - and yet we still felt completely at home! This really is hotel-style self-catering accommodation. And, of course, it's set in the most stunning location, with Dovedale on the doorstep. Communication with Andrew and Sarah was easy from the start to finish. Truly a rare find.
