The most beautiful, serene place in the middle of a rainforest. The perfect place to relax. The pictures didnt match the place, but we were pleasantly surprised! There was a spa and lovely big beds - my 7 yo got a king size bed! The walks through the rainforest were lovely, but the leeches were a bit friendly! The waterfall was really lovely. Breakfast hamper of eggs, toast butter yogurt and plenty of milk to go with really nice plunger coffee was great! We really enjoyed our stay!

The perfect escape from reality for the weekend. A beautiful setting, very relaxing. There is the option of walks or just relaxing on your balcony. The house has everything you could possibly need and is in very good condition. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The stay at Rose Gums Wilderness Retreat was fantastic, with the cabin we stayed in far enough away from others to feel like you are on your own in the rain forest. It is magical sitting on the balcony and watching the different moods of the forest. The cabin is clean, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen well equipped, with a very nice welcoming breakfast basket. There are information sheets, including a map of the Atherton Tablelands and the many things to do there. You feel very close to nature. We went on a walk down to the river looking for platypus, as well as watching the musky rat kangaroos and parrots in the mornings. Highly recommended and will return.
