Great quiet place for some R & R

We had a lovely quiet relaxing time staying at the Spa Chalets. Plenty of reading, DVD watching, book reading and nature walks. Exactly the kind of break away that we needed! Thank-you to Mel and Rod.

Absolutely wonderful and a great place to stay, especially if you are in the area for hiking. We hiked bluff knoll, and the spa bath came in handy for our achy muscles. The chalet was very clean and tidy. The farm animals were cute - would be a great place for a family holiday. it was just my husband and I, so great for romantic get away as well. We woke up pretty early most mornings and were greeted by all the different varieties of birds. - We even had the opportunity to see a few kookaburras and kangaroos. it was so calm and relaxing. the last night we stayed, it rained, it was so lovely to have a cup of hot chocolate, sit by the fire, and listen to the rain. definitely would stay again 10/10 experience. (especially if you are a nature lover. )

My 11 year old son and I stayed at Mel's place for 3 nights to facilitate us hiking up to the Castle Rock Granite Skywalk. We were less than 10 minutes drive from the Porongurups which was fantastic. We loved being in the middle of the National Park - how quiet and peaceful it was, the privacy and the abundance of wild life. Daniel was rapt to find a container of bird seed in the cupboard and had great fun feeding and watching the birds as well as a family of kangaroos. He also loved patting the sheep, giving our food scraps to the chickens, trying to pat the goats and checking out the shetland ponies! After our big hike, he said the spa bath was 'heaven' ;) We also got stuck into the games - he gleefully beat me at Monopoly but was less than impressed when I beat him at Scrabble. We'd love to come again with the rest of our family to do more hikes in the NP and just enjoy the peaceful location! Highly recommend.
