We had an amazing time in the villa. The house was clean and beautiful, had everything we needed and much more. The pool area and different dining areas/ chill out areas make it even better. Maria & Manos were super and tried to help wherever they can! I can highly recommend the house.

Exceptional venue for our intimate wedding! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's hard to put into words just how welcoming Maria & her family were- from the initial hello to the goodbye hug, the whole family helped us to put together a wedding beyond my expectations. I was let down at the last minute by another Villa and 'Prinus Country Retreat' saved the day 😁 The villa 🏠- the pictures made it look good but the first time I saw everything in person it brought a tear to my eye, fate had prevailed & this was perfect for us.. there's so many different areas to the villa which we loved (the ceremony was by the arch💍, drinks on the terrace🥂,meal by the pool🥗 and last but by no means least the evening in the wooded area 🎉) It was a village affair, we had tables and chairs from the local taverna and the delicious food was prepared half by the taverna and half by Maria's mum (the other reviews are correct- her moussaka.. 😋) Only 15 minutes down to the coast but so private & peaceful up in the mountains.

De villa is ontzettend mooi en van alle gemakken voorzien. De gastvrouw Maria zorgde voor een heel warm welkom en gedurende ons verblijf had ze goede tips en was ze bereikbaar voor vragen. We hebben genoten van een heerlijke vakantie!

A stunning villa, super clean, lovely architecture, epic balconies, a fantastic garden for the kids to play in, and amazing views over the mountains. It’s a real gem. Maria and Manos were at the villa to greet us when we arrived and Maria's family provided us with many lovely plates of traditional food and gifts throughout our stay. Our son was taken to hospital during our stay, but Maria kindly provided us with lots of assistance and information throughout this.

Stone, as a main characteristic of Apokoronas landscape dominates, while the lush green scenery(prinus trees, olive trees) adds a relaxing and slow-living tone to our space.
Emprosneros, our village, is located at the middle between Chania & Rethimno cities, at the foothills of the White Mountains, at an altitude of 250 meters. The village is inhabited approximately by 300 permanent residents whose main occupation is animal farming, olive growing, viticulture, cheese & honey producing.
It is a region rich in water resources and this is probably where the name “Emprosneros” was inspired from. During summer season here you will find your oasis, under the oak trees or at the natural spring close to the village square. Walk a few meters further and you will be at an open-air, stone built theater of 800 seats, where cultural events take place. At its opposite side, lies a church inside a rock.
The village also presents great interest from archaeological and historical aspect. The restored tower of Alidakis the Janissary is a part of it.
In Ebrosneros you will find traditional village cafes, a mini market,a tavern, bakery(3'-5'on foot).There are also a football field, landscaped sidewalks and lush green areas.
