We had a fantastic time at John and Sheri’s place! Really quick drive to Ganges and walking distance to a couple shops/delicious food. The house was perfect for our family and pup. Our two year old loved the fairy door in the backyard! There were multiple local goodies when we arrived and the house is stocked with local soaps etc. I had to go buy some of the rosemary shampoo in town before we left! The bed was super comfortable and we loved listening to the frogs and owls at night! John and Sheri are super gracious hosts and have thought about just about everything. Would absolutely book this cute cottage again next time we are back on Salt Spring!

Some Airbnbs go above and beyond what you would expect. This is one of those places. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything you need for a healthy delicious breakfast is provided. Beds are super comfortable. The sound of the frogs at night put you to sleep and in the morning you are woken by a crowing rooster. We loved that. Next door you can get delicious sandwiches to go from Francis Bread and then set out on your day. Highly recommended!

We had the best getaway at Big Fir cottage! The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable with so many amenities and special touches. The cottage is even better in person - so peaceful and private, well stocked, clean, cozy and a great location. We would definitely stay here again!

This is our second time staying at John & Sheri’s. The place is very comfortable and clean. We appreciate all the amenities that are provided and we are looking forward to staying again in the future.

Highly recommend John and Sheri's cottage! Girlfriends and I stayed here for a spring getaway weekend and it was fantastic. The location is private, but also close to great local spots like Francis Bread, and walkable to Ganges. The place was spotless and had such wonderful thoughtful touches, from fresh fruit, eggs and delicious baked goods left for breakfast, to local soaps and a games cupboard. We loved sitting on the porches in the evening listening to the frogs. We'd come back again for sure!
