Our entire extended family came together for my Mother’s 90th Birthday and the house was perfect for such a special gathering. There were plenty of beds and rooms for all 14 of us including a great combinatio of rooms for couples and for cousins and kids. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful location tucked in between both the Mendicino Village (for hikes, restaurants, groceries, and sunset viewings) and Fort Bragg (for our visit to the amazing Botanical Gardens and a bit of thrift store shopping). Not to mention a private path to the nearby beach. As mentioned by others the house is quite cold in the winter months until you get the central fireplace really geared up, but our hosts provided and endless supply of firewood to do just that and we assigned someone each night to add woodxa few times to keep it going to keep my Mom warm in the first-floor bedroom. It's also super affordable for such a big house and runs as a non-profit training students in sustainable ecology.

This is a beautiful old farmhouse. I stayed with 13 of my co-workers for a teambuilding retreat and there was plenty of room for everyone to gather and to have private space. The wood buring stove kept the house plenty warm for my group and the bedrooms have electic heaters. The only complaint I have is that the oven was not operational, which caused a bit of a hiccup. We had meal prepped breakfast and dinner for 14 that just needed to be popped in the over during a meeting. We were given access to an oven in another building, and were able to improvise using the griddle on the stovetop. This information would have been handy to have beforehand, but certainly did not ruin the trip. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there, so we didn't get to do too much exploring. I would book again just to be able to explore a bit more!

This property was great for a large family. We were able to walk to the beach, had plenty of space for 13 people and it was very peaceful. Close to both Fort Bragg and Mendocino, the location was excellent!
