The glamping tent was fabulous. It was an awesome experience. John was super friendly and very informative about things to do in the area. It was a super beautiful area and extremely peaceful.
The gold digger tent was an amazing place to visit. The decoration theme and attention to detail was inspiring. Watching the stars between the rocks during the shower was an. unbelievable experience. The bed was super comfortable with a fire burning stove or propane heater to help with cold nights. We stayed two nights and enjoyed sitting out on deck with fire table. All in all one the best places we have ever stayed. John the host communicated everything all that was needed and was quick to respond to any request. He is an interesting man and an easy conversationalist. A must stay in the Black Hills.
My stay was amazing! It was such a gorgeous view. The tent was nice and clean, bed was very comfortable. John was very helpful with any thing we needed. It was such a great place to stay!!
We planned a last-minute trip to the Black Hills. John sent such wonderful details on what to do in the Black Hills that I did no further research. The restaurants and hikes that he recommended were wonderful. And, his Gold Digger tent was absolutely amazing!! The details that went into this “tent” were stunning from the outdoor stone shower with hot water to the mine bathroom. We took our 6 year old and 3 year old and they had a blast! I think this will be a hard trip to beat. Also, John was an amazing communicator throughout the trip, continuing to recommend additional things to do and ensuring that we were having a great time. Can’t recommend this place enough!! We will definitely be back and will be sending our friends and family here.
John’s place (Gold Digger) was hands down the BEST experience I’ve ever had at an Airbnb and it all started with his communication !!!! It was beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, etc !!! Photos and description where exactly as described !!!

Hi, I’m John. I’ve been living on this property for 18 years with my wife and two daughters. I’ve recently decided that it was long over due that I share this magical place with visitors from around the world. I felt that the best way to do this is with a glamorous camping tent, “glamping”. This enables our guests to truly get back to nature and experience the Black Hills and everything they have to offer without roughing it too much! My number one goal is to provide you with an experience that is never forgotten. A much needed reprieve from our hectic lives and most importantly, quality time spent with those most precious in your lives. I’m an adventurous person, travel frequently, easily bored, not afraid to try anything once, and I’m truly excited to share the Black Hills experience with you!
