This rustic cabin was a perfect location for our ‘cousins eclipse gathering’. Everything was clean and recently laundered, and the air conditioner was great (not critical in April but if you’re here in high summer you’ll be grateful!) My cousins appreciated learning about the history of the area and being free to roam around on the beautiful land. The homemade pecan bread Lora brought was a nice touch. The cabin had everything needed like paper towels, and toilet paper, and even had salt and pepper and oil and spices, etc. It’s a small cozy place so you want to be here with a group you’re happy to be ‘all tucked in together’ with :-) I was sad to miss it because car trouble interrupted my trip, but my cousins found it to be wonderful!! Took tons of pictures — the setting is great, beautiful really—and Lora & her dad are so welcoming you’ll feel at home.

Very much enjoyed our stay! Cabin was very cozy and matched the description. Serene location. Instructions were very clear and thorough. Responsive host. Wish we had had more time there! Would definitely recommend.

We rented the cabin for 2 days but only stayed 1. The dead mouse on the floor and all the dead flies had my wife and daughter against staying the 2nd night. Lora explained that she recently had an exterminator spray the cabin and that she was there to clean a few hours before we arrived. We swept the flies off of the rugs so that we didnt grind them in but that didnt help with talking my family into staying the 2nd night. I have stayed there before with a friend of mine and the cabin was clean with no bad smells. We had an awesome visit the 1st time which was why i wanted to bring my family there this time. I'm sure it was just bad timing. We didn't ask for any refund on the 2nd night. We just let Lora know what happened and she offered to clean it again. Nice little cabin in a secluded location.

Very private and enjoyed watching the wildlife come down from the hill behind the cabin in the early morning.
