This was our second stay at The Stables, and it was just as blissful as the first. It was the perfect place to hunker down for a few days of doing nothing in between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve … the holy grail of cosy and spacious, so thoughtfully appointed, high ceilings with rain battering on the roof, squishy velvet sofa by the Christmas tree, and of course Geoff’s home-made ice cream. Hard to convey just how special this place is. Plus a walk around the village at dusk with tree lights twinkling from every window made us fall in love with this little corner of the world even more. Once again … we’ll be back!
This accommodation was fantastic! Located in the heart of the village yet quiet, spotlessly clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated with a lovely garden. Cozy and comfortable. I would definitely return! Thank you Sarah and Geoff.
A lovely cottage, well stocked, clean, high end furnishings. We found the split level nature of the accommodation a bit tricky for us. Having the kitchen downstairs and the living room upstairs meant a lot of trips up and down when we had a tv dinner! But that is our fault for not realising the difficulty. The hosts were very accessible and helpful and the home made ( free) ice cream was delicious. An attractive cottage in a lovely area.
Such a beautiful and tranquil place to stay and spend a few days away. Sarah and Geoff were the perfect hosts and I was welcomed with open arms as soon as arrived. The Stables accommodation was truly amazing, equipped and decorated to a very high standard. The garden and surrounding area were an absolute dream to relax and explore. Sarah & Geoff provided fantastic suggestions and recommendations on local attractions and places to eat, as well as their own homemade supply of delicious ice cream. I would love to return and have no hesitation in recommending this exceptional Airbnb experience.
"Hidden Gem" is about right! It's impossible to do justice to how gorgeous this place is. The area around is just lovely. We had no idea this little Cotswolds-esque enclave existed. The village of King's Cliffe is a honey-hued chocolate box village, with Hall Farm idyllically tucked away next to the village church. A little further afield is Stamford where we had a gorgeous afternoon pottering around the shops and a divine afternoon tea at the George. The Stables apartment itself really is a flawless bolthole. Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, incredibly cosy yet so spacious with its massive bedroom and high beamed vaulted ceilings, and really thoughtfully put together (even little things like mirrors, plug sockets and bins are all in just the right place). The cosy outdoor barn was the icing on the cake - perfectly shaded on boiling hot days, and perfectly sheltered from the storms. With Sarah & Geoff being the ideal hosts, warm and relaxed, we can't wait to come back!
