The property was listed through Airbnb and that is where I booked. Under the restrictions, it stated that no pets and children were allowed on property. There were no postings about having a small gathering out in the courtyard which is listed as part of the amenities. Any guests that stayed on the property would have been paid for but that wasn’t the case because everybody left. Debbie, the owner of property showed up, unannounced, guns blazing. She was incredibly disrespectful, rude and ruined our engagement day; which was very low key with close friends and family. Law enforcement was involved due to the owner. On top of that, the owner was threatening to evict us (even though she had no right) on top of trying to charge us $2,800 as a booking fee which is absolutely outrageous. She was simply trying to fiend off anybody she could to make some extra money. Through this whole process, I never got a phone call from Hill Country Lodging. The only think I got from them was a message over their online portal requesting $750, demanding eviction, and threatening To involve law enforcement, which they did. It was poor communication on every level from owner and management. Major o versight between Hill Country Lodging reposting the ad on Airbnb and terrible communication from the owner who was in the most polite way I can say it, out of line. We also was told that we would get check-in information 1-3 days prior to day of arrival but that wasn’t the case. I had to call about 3 times just to get ahold of somebody to request the information, only a couple hours before check in. The property itself was not the issue. The issues we have are with the management and the ownership of property. We will never be recommending the property we stayed at. We will also never be using Hill Country Lodging again, especially through a 3rd party listing.

We had a relaxing weekend. You can watch the sunrise and the deer play while sitting on the front porch drinking coffee - felt like a scene from a commercial. Beautiful space, clean, close to town and peaceful.
