As I was taking my young kids to India for the first time, I was apprehensive, especially since it was the rainy season in Kerala. David made our stay easy to coordinate and was helpful in all aspects. The peaceful area and quiet surroundings are a great location to unwind and plan other trips within the country, as was our case. David and his wife made us feel at home and were always cordial, quick to answer our questions, and always available. I would return to David's place and highly recommend it to anyone. An fantastic location.

Everything about this place was spot on. Great location, very scenic, bang on the backwaters, clean rooms and supportive staff. David and Mahima were warm and were the most hospitable hosts our group has ever come across. Would definitely consider a few visits in the next few months and planning for the same already. cheers and thanks for a great experience.

What an amazing experience it was...!! Simply rustic and rave worthy. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenic beauty, coupled with a kayaking ride and service par excellence.... A MUST visit place. Special mention about David & Mahima who ensured that the stay was made as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

Positives - - David was helpful and proactive in terms of his reaching out, checking for ETA etc. very responsive as well on questions - the decor is quirky and quite aesthetically done Watch-outs - they don’t have a live kitchen. Which was a bit of a shock as the description had clearly said meals are available on-site - we were told to look up menus on swiggy and pass along the order to David - who would then go pick-up the parcels (since all the restaurants were too far away and swiggy wouldn’t delivery there) - since we were three families with small kids, this was a bit of a stretch. We gave it a shot the first night for dinner - the whole exercise took 1.5 hr+ from order to delivery (though admittedly the food was decent from that place). We would probably never have booked the place if we were told upfront that the kitchen was not operational. - admittedly it is a farm stay - so best to go with calibrated expectations - there were 6-7 power cuts in a 3 hr period while we were there (though the generator kicks in eventually), the decor is quirky but very functional - there is a fine line between giving an antiquated look and just being a rundown place (e.g the toiletries were past expiry) - felt like the floods there recently had taken its toll on the rooms as well - if you are going with small kids, you would need to keep a close eye on them given that the river is right there within a few feet of the rooms and at least while we were there, running to the brim almost - again, could be a result of the recent rains there - the first thing we did when we got there was look up the pics on airbnb again to make sure we were in the same place :) to put it mildly, the pics are very optimistic especially on aspects like space in the rooms - even the gorgeous looking dining area stretching into the river in the pics was piled up with furniture and lights when we got there - didn’t seem like anyone was using that for a while Thanks to this (primarily the kitchen situation), our stay was a lot shorter than planned - left within 2-3 hours of getting there - quite disappointed with the overall experience. In any case, definitely not worth the premium being charged for the place.

One of the calmest, cleanest and thoughtful Airbnb’s I’ve ever visited. David and his wife were so kind to us! Great for a family or friends trip. Don’t think twice, book!
