Candlefort Lodge was booked with 24 hours notice of check-in & while we are regular visitors to the area it was our first time not staying with family. To say we found a gem was an understatement. Mary & Brian were an absolute pleasure to deal with but unfortunately due to family commitments we never got to meet. We were able to check in & out effortlessly. the accommodation is 5 star, everything you could think of was available, especially in the kitchen . For a family who want to explore the Monaghan area & beyond then you couldn’t pick better. We will return.

We had a wonderful stay at Candlefort Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed the place and the area. The property was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed to have a great time. Located only one hour away from Dublin and one hour from Belfast, it was the perfect location for us. Marie and Brian were great hosts and catered quickly to any issue or question we raised. They also offered a lot of suggestions of places to visit around the area. Would definitely stay again next time we are in Ireland.

Amazing stay, beautiful accommodation with lovely views was lucky as had warm, sunny weather. Accommodation was just wow felt like home for our stay, friendly host's would highly recommend this beautiful place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Mary and Brian's ! This is, by far, our best experience with an Airbnb rental. Candlefort Lodge is a gem of a flat : it is well-equipped (we found everything we needed and more), perfectly clean, very comfortable (great bed and shower) and so peaceful. And the flat is just lovely : it was so easy for us to feel home there! Inniskeen is a great place, with lots to do in the village (playground, walk along the river, round tower, tea room, pub...) and nearby (beach, bike rental, forest, farms, Dublin and Belfast an hour away...). We are very happy to have met our hosts Mary and Brian. They are kind, welcoming people, who put much care in the design of their lodge and do their best to make their guests feel safe and comfortable. They were available every time we had a question, they even made sure we knew about the delayed flights at Dublin airport so we could make sure ours wasn't. We had a wonderful time at Candlefort Lodge and hope to come back soon !
