Laurent’s place was mostly as advertised, only the pool wasn’t quite as we expected, we didn’t swim in in, but It absolutely made for a nice, relaxing view at night. It is quiet a Journey via go cart and a bumpy one, but It did make for an experience for the trip, almost gave us the feel like we were some of the locals. Cristele met us at the pier when we arrived via water taxi, with someone who rented us a go cart @ $25 usd per day. You will absolutely need a go cart to get around the island. Cristele ensured that we got to the house and gave us some great tips on where to eat, hidden treasures is a must! She was also readily a single via what’s app and Laurent also via Airbnb app. Their communication was great! Laurent messaged me doe a few weeks up u til my arrival to ensure we got everything we needed. Only downside is that the television didn’t work, there was a 9pm curfew and It would have been nice to have the tv once we came in, but we worked around It just enjoying each other’s time. We did make Laurent aware and Cristele was preparing to accommodate, unfortunately i had missed her message early in the morning from over sleeping so we didn’t quite get anyone to fix It while on trip, but either way Laurent and Cristele were very accommodating so just reach out if you need any help or have concerns.

Beautiful home, just what the picture show. A bit far from town, but the drive in to town has lots of amazing shops and stands to stop at for fresh fruit! Road was a bit rough, but overall we had an amazing stay. Laurent set up golf cart rental ahead of time which was great!

**the drive is very bumpy** as others have stated but you do get accustomed to it. the house is exactly as you would expect very beautiful very quite. the pool was a lovely escape from the summer heat. they recommended "under da sea" for the tour/snorkeling, I second that. noel was very friendly and answered any and all questions you had about the island. *get bug spray**!!! lol

Great place , secluded from town and worth the trek to get there. Laurent and Christelle were very responsive and attentive to any questions or concerns we had. Would definitely recommend staying at this house! Thank you for a great stay!!

Laurent & Katia's house is terrific - exactly as advertised - however the thing that sets them above the rest is their wonderful hospitality. They were helpful in every regard: setting us up with needed rentals/excursions, local shopping and referring places to find what we needed. They were immediately available for every question and made our trip worry-free! We also shared a bottle of wine, and they are lovely people. Their house is set south of San Pedro, about a 15-20 minute golf cart ride to the heart of town. A golf cart is a necessity due to the distance to travel. The roads south of town are as advertised - rough in several places - but a part of the adventure :) We went to town 1-2 times per day, and the bumps became an acceptable part of the journey - it is slow going for about 1/2 of the trip. We felt extremely safe at their home, as well as secluded from the activity of town. Staying south of San Pedro also afforded us the opportunity to shop & dine in the local community where life is slower & simpler at very reasonable prices. The house was very comfortable & well-appointed, with the option for an open-air living situation, or closed/air-conditioned. Both bedrooms have strong a/c units in them for comfortable & bug-free sleeping. The swimming pool is wonderful, affording a beautiful view of the lagoon & refreshing from the summer heat. As with everywhere on the island, the mosquito's do come in just before sunset, but they were easy to plan around and bug spray worked well. Part of our trip was built around scuba diving, and the scuba shops we an easy cart ride into town. There are many to choose from, and we were extremely pleased with Amigos Del Mar. Laurent also set us up with a fishing excursion that went very well - we caught excellent fish on the reef for 2 meals. We have stayed in many Airbnb's in several countries, and felt the most welcome & well taken care of with Laurent & Katia. For those looking for an alternative to the standard resort/hotel setup, we highly recommend staying here!
