This place is neither a typical Airbnb nor a hotel. It's a bit of the best and worst of both. Allow me to explain. Like a hotel, it has a front desk and feels like a hotel building. Unlike a hotel, there is no housekeeping service or amenities. Like an Airbnb, you book through a host. Unlike other Airbnbs, I felt that there was nothing in the place FROM the host (area recommendations, etc.). I didn't even know if I could use the glasses and flatware. So, a mixed bag. Regarding the place itself: The Good: It's roomy and (if you get the unit I had, 512) it's quiet. Good water pressure, good fridge and microwave. The Bad: It smelled bad. Like a tired, old-building smell. It was so bad I had to wash everything when I got home, even clothes I didn't wear. Also, when I checked in I got a sales pitch to buy in to the resort timeshare. And The Ugly: The place (512) is dark. Every window faces a wall. I stayed here because it was affordable during Dreamforce week. But I will not be back.

Great place to stay right down near Union Square. The place is new and clean. Michael is a great host and helpful. Will definitely book again nexttime

This is a very large place for it's location in San Francisco. With two bathrooms and a large living room it would be great for a family with a couple of small kids. Very clean, really convenient to great restaurants, shopping, nice neighborhoods, easy check-in and brightly lit 24 hours a day. I was very happy with my stay and would recommend Michael's place to others looking to spend time in San Francisco.
