Very central room with everything needed for a stay in London. I was satisfied and would totally come again

Wir haben ein sehr schönes Wochenende in London verbracht und die Unterkunft war genau wie beschrieben. Der Check-In war unproblematisch und genau wie beschrieben. Die Unterkunft war super zentral, sauber und sehr schön.

We didn’t have the best experience staying at Sonder. The room was fine, the kitchen was very dark and the TV was in there which you would not consider using because there were only chairs. You could here everything going on in the hallway and the noise from the upstairs neighbours, even if they were just walking around the room. Apart from that we had a terrible check-in experience. You have to fill out a form online to receive the code to enter the Airbnb, however, it would always show an error message, no matter what we tried. We talked to them for 3 hours and they kept saying try again, try from a different device but it was obviously an issue on their side they had to fix. It was extremely exhausting and for a bit we thought we were going to be homeless but after staying on the phone and being persistent eventually they figured it out. Still, not worth the money for that experience.

The apartment is nicely and functionally furnished as described (in the pictures especially the kitchen is brighter than in real), there is relatively much space, the host provides many things. For the same price we had the days before a much worse hotel room. So for London this is a good deal with a lot of comfort! Therefore, clear recommendation and a high rating. What bothered us in the five nights, however, was that the apartment (it is the first of 18 in the building) is very noisy. You hear every step of the people above, and every word and step from the stairwell. Rather impractical for a light sleeper - I think a thicker door would at least solve the stairwell problem. Also, we were informed via email on one day that the fire inspector had to come to each room on the same day...I would have liked some earlier info there, with privacy in mind. It is also a pity that it is not possible to store the suitcases for a few hours in the accommodation after check-out. All in all, however, a nice stay in a great location!
