Our stay was great really enjoyed it the house was clean and cosy, our grandchildren loved it, and its just a short drive to st cyrus beach and nature reserve. Would visit again.

We had an excellent three night stay at Claire's place. Johnshaven is lovely with a great local pub and well stocked shop. Sadly the famous lobster shop was closed during our stay and the pub doesn't do food on Monday and Tuesdays but the kitchen in the cottage is well equipped and large which makes for a perfect space to cook! The cottage is right on the sea front which really adds to the relaxation. Hearing the waves crashing with the log burner crackling in the living room is just bliss. We visited St Cyrus beach which is a beautiful sandy beach reached in 10 minutes by car and the stunning Dunnottar Castle about 20 mins away which provided a lovely walk and some sensational views. We were really lucky with the weather - very windy but mostly bright blue skies. We would love to return!

Our first time to this cottage, and certainly not the last. It was perfect, extremely clean, cosy, and right at the sea! Plenty of space and really nicely presented, it has everything you can possibly need and done to a high standard. We'd definitely come back, while Claire was easy to contact and deal with. ps..A nice bar meal just 2 minutes walk away, a shop, and within 15 minutes of Montrose, St Cyrus, Inverbervie and more.

We booked Claire's cottage as a surprise for our friend's 60th. She loves sea views and walking...and this location was perfect! The cottage is gorgeous and very well thought out. Everything that you could need is provided. We loved the sociable kitchen area and the living room with the fab log burner. One of our group loved having a bath with the window open in order to hear the sea. We loved every minute of our stay. Claire was really approachable and flexible with regards to check in and out. Would highly recommend!
