Just back from spending a few days at Kittiwake Cottage - great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Very well equipped cottage although the shower in the bathroom was a bit disappointing. Enjoyed having breakfast out in the conservatory. Nice private back garden.

We stayed at Annie’s cottage for 3 nights over the Easter weekend with our two cockapoos. The cottage was clean, comfy, warm and well equipped. Annie met us there and was lovely & gave us lots of info on the area. For dog holidays it’s perfect! From outside the cottage walk right and there’s a beautiful coastal path at the end of the town with lovey beaches going down towards St.Cyrus. Go left out the cottage you can walk the coastal path along to Gourdon (about an hour) and onto Inverbervie. It’s all flat and safe for dogs. There’s a dog friendly pub and beer garden in Gourdon with an amazing chippy next door. In johnshaven you can try lobster from The Lobster Shop, have dinner at the Anchor Hotel or get something from the Hidden Treasure Cafe (the best carrot cake!). In the evening relax in the conservatory of the cottage or sit in the private and secure garden. The cottage spacious with comfy beds and in a really nice location at the end of the town - would highly recommend!

Annie could not have been friendlier or more helpful and the cottage is beautiful, a perfect little hideaway with a stunning view over the sea. Everything you could possibly need is in the cottage, including places of interest to visit, places to eat and information about local services and amenities. We immediately felt relaxed and at home. The cottage is in a great location at the end of the village, too, giving us privacy and peace as well as the stunning sea and countryside views. It is lovely and warm and the bed very comfortable. The conservatory is an added bonus, giving us somewhere bright and open to have breakfast while we watched and listened to the birds outside. Altogether a completely positive experience and one which we are keen to repeat!

Annie’s cottage is in the best location with the sea on the doorstep and great walking in all directions . The cottage is warm welcoming and generous. Johnshaven a delight. Thank you

A lovely little cottage on the edge of Johnshaven which is a lovely little fishing village. Annie is a great host with lots of information available. The cottage is comfortable, warm and cosy. A beautiful little spot that I would love to visit again.
