Fantastic little cottage. It's in a perfect location for exploring or just staying local and relaxing. A short walk to the shops, cafe and pub that serves lovely food and is dog friendly. The cosy fire is lovely on a rainy day and it's little secluded garden is pretty too. It was our first stay here and would definitely book again.

Beautiful cosy cottage in a stunning part of the world. Clean and cosy, felt like home. Johnshaven is such a peaceful little village, thoroughly recommend The Anchor Bar for dinner

This was our third visit to Johnshaven as we love the area. Nathalie's house is well situated in a quiet area which is well sheltered from any wind so the garden must be a lovely suntrap in the Summer. Just a short walk to the Lobster Shop for fresh lobster and crab and two minutes walk to the local pub which serves excellent food. Johnshaven serves as an excellent based to explore the other nearby villages.

Nathalie accepted us on a very late booking when we needed a place to stay for a couple of nights at short notice while we waited for the weather to clear and the Aberdeen to Lerwick ferry to sail. We arrived four hours after booking and found the place perfectly ready and clean, and very easy to access with parking nearby at the harbour. It's a small but comfortable cottage with everything we needed - a well equipped kitchen area and an open fire (wood can be bought from the shop), and Johnshaven, attractive in its own right, offers attractive walking in both directions along the coast. We could happily have stayed for several more days but the snow and winds eased and we left for Shetland, as planned. Highly recommended.
