Super cute cottage, tastefully decorated, lovely soft towels, spacious kitchen to cook in, cosy log burner, crisp white sheets, thoroughly recommend . We enjoyed walking along the coastline from Craster and eating local crab in the Jolly Fisherman, we joined the NT and spent a day at Cragside, and we made use of the local spa. A perfect mini break on our way up to Scotland.

My husband and I (and our dog) had the most enjoyable stay at Carole and Harvey’s place. A quiet, cosy annex situated in idyllic surroundings. They had EVERYTHING we needed in the cottage - probably the best equipped AirBnB we have stayed in. Enclosed garden for the dog and walks from the doorstep. (Please be mindful that many paths are through sheep fields, so keep your pooch on a lead!) A dog friendly pub around 15 mins walk up the road in the village and a corner shop which sold everything we needed for our stay. It’s the perfect location to explore Northumberland by car, with Alnwick castle, Seahouses and National Trust properties all within 20-40 mins drive. The complimentary access to the local hotels pool was a real added bonus too, we spent an afternoon relaxing there. We loved it so much and will definitely be back - we hope to stay longer next time as 3 nights just wasn’t enough! Thanks for having us and we’ll see you in the future, I’m sure.

Swallowtails is a lovely place to stay set in beautiful countryside and close to the Northumberland countryside and coast. The space is really nice ans tastefully devoted, a perfect spot for relaxing for a few days. Harvey and Carole were really friendly giving us some local tips and helped swiftly with a small issue we had. Would definitely recommend

A great cottage and base for exploring Northumberland. Cottage was clean and very spacious. Kitchen was excellent and had plenty of storage and equipment to help with self catering. Area was nice and peaceful and local pub was great for a meal out.
