自我介绍

I am an almost retired teacher with a very simple yet enjoyable life. I have been blessed with 4 (adult) children, a most adorable granddaughter, and an equally adorable grand baby boy. They take my breath away! I am blessed to be a grandma. Such a gift! I love to cook and would happily do so for my bnb guests. It would involve freshly plucked herbs and healthy fare. Amongst other things, I make pretty aprons, bags and slippers for little ones. A girl can never have too many shoes, right? I thrive in my garden space and very much enjoy the surprises she brings. I write but I don’t share it. Not yet. I love antique furnishings and belong in the last century. Travelling gives me much joy and I love to meet other adventurers and the resultant conversation. I welcome visitors. I can hide away too. One cannot live without flowers, good coffee, and anything Italian. I value greatly the embrace of a blue sky, both in terms of sunshine and as a metaphor for life. My favourite travel destination thus far would have to be Venice. Actually, if I woke up anywhere in Italy I would be pretty pleased with myself. Finding a companion to play Scrabble with is now sorted with any enthusiastic guest who is willing to take on the challenge. I would be thrilled! I am fascinated with Poland and it’s history, love learning about the lives of British royalty and have a weakness for weird and wonderful vintage wall pockets. A passion for female jazz vocalists gives me much joy. Stacey Kent would be my eternal favourite. She sings and I potter! There are so many musicians who are somewhat enticing for me. Nina Simone for her heartbreaking story, her prowess with classical training as a pianist and her very important spiritual messages. Leonard Cohen, pure poetry in song! I suspect that if you visited and stayed, you would like to return. I firmly believe that one can learn something from everyone in this life. My motto is “kind words, loving gestures.”However, a spade remains a spade and I am certainly not backward in coming forward! Have a happy day and may Lady Luck travel with you.
