This fine old, restored stone farmhouse situated in one of the most beautiful parts of western Crete. It overlooks a hillside of olive and orange trees offering an enchanting panorama. Casa Arokaria offers you wonderful hospitality and carefree relaxation in the shades of the magnificent ancient Arokaria tree. Situated on a tranquil hillside with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, just outside of Voukolies village, approximately 20 km from the picturesque town of Chania.

Cette maison très agréable se situe dans un superbe environnement paisible. Nous avons passé de belles soirées sur la terrasse. La maison est bien équipée et Kovi est aux petits soins. Je recommande cet hébergement, même s'il ne correspondait pas tout à fait aux photos de l'annonce... Il manquait les deux petits lits de la seconde chambre, pas de transat, pas accès au barbecue (peut-être que nous aurions pu utiliser celui des propriétaires present juste devant leur maison, mais il n'est pas privatif) C'est dommage ! Les seuls espaces privatifs sont l'appartement et la terrasse du balcon.
We enjoyed our stay at Kovi's place. The house is surrounded by nature on a very quiet road near the village. It was lovely to have breakfast on the beautiful balcony and listen to the birds in the morning! There are plenty of orange, lemon and olive trees and Kovi provided us with a basket full of fruit from her own orchard. The interior of the house is very cosy, although the kitchen and bathroom could have been better equipped according to the description. However, Kovi was quick to provide us with what we needed (shower gel, washing powder etc.). All in all, we had a lovely stay and would recommend this place for nature lovers.
La maison et son environnement sont exceptionnels, entourés d’arbres fruitiers! L’environnement est très paisible, situé à quelques minutes de la route principale, ce qui permet de rejoindre les différents sites. Kovi est une hôte adorable, aux petits soins pour nous! Nous avons pu goûter les oranges citrons et autres fruits présents sur son terrain! Je recommande vivement!!

Isolated but close to everything!
Casa Arokaria, located in the mountainous municipality of Voukolies, is famous for its production of fine quality olive oil with its well known beneficial properties. The local inhabitants of the area, who are mostly engaged in agriculture and livestock farming, are friendly and hospitable. In addition to olive oil, the region produces dairy products, honey, wine, fruit and vegetables. Casa Arokaria is secluded, yet still close to all holiday attractions. The area is tranquil with no noise from cars or neighboring houses and is surrounded by many unique, beautifully landscaped aromatic herb and vegetable gardens. The hospitable owner and his family are on hand for advice and information whenever it is needed. Casa Arokaria is a perfect vacation for either families or couples.
Casa Arokaria is ideally situated a few minutes away from the cosmopolitan resort of Platanias (12 km) and the closest beach of Tavronitis is a mere 6 km away. Other beaches worth visiting nearby include the sandy beach of Kastelli (7 km) and the beach of Kaliviani (15 km). It is also an ideal base for those wishing to make excursions to the most famous beaches of western Crete such as ancient Falassarna with its long white sandy beach (25 km), breathtaking Elafonissi beach with its beautiful pink sand (50 km) and Gramvousa-Balos can be visited by ferry from Kissamos town.
In the village of Voukolies, guests will find a few small traditional taverns, a mini market, a pharmacy and a bank at a short driving distance, about 3 km away from the house, a gas station is approximately 4 km away.
