Before our trip Alan was so brilliant at communicating and organising everything we needed for our arrival, from taxis to groceries, even freshly baked bread. Murline was there to let us in, show us around and help with any questions we had. What a fabulous location, which can’t be faulted, a car is useful, but everything is very close and it’s nice to be a little bit away from the harbour area, real tranquility. Alan has thought of everything, a fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs to take out for the day, sarongs and beach towels. Jamdown is a gem that I hardly want to tell anyone about! We would love to come back.

We had a great stay at Jamdown! Beautiful house and gorgeous views. Open door living with Carribean winds to keep us cool. Appreciated how well set up the kitchen was. Murline was an absolute jem! Thanks for a lovely stay.

Alan’s home is more beautiful than the pictures. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms are beautiful. We really liked the location, the views are gorgeous and it was a quick trip to Port Elizabeth. We enjoyed our time in the pool also. Alan was a very responsive host and Murline was very accommodating with our arrival and met us at the house to show us around. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The house was very clean. The only reason that I give it four stars has nothing to do with the host or the house. The mosquitoes were really bad when we stayed at the house (February 2024) and there are no screens on the windows and there isn’t AC in the bedrooms. There is a mosquito net on the beds but would suggest that you bring mosquito repellent if you stay here.

Jamdown is an exceptional property in a secluded corner of Bequia! It was impeccably maintained and cleaned and was outfitted with everything you might need for an extended stay on the island! The kitchen was equipped with anything you might need to cook or bake whatever you might in your own home. Small details like a wireless Bluetooth speaker, a yoga mat and skipping rope were appreciated! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family!

Wow! My wife and I stayed 11/18 to 11/25 and Alan's house was as amazing as the photos and super clean. We have travelled many places and this is one of our top two most beautiful locations. We could not stop taking pictures of the views. Being able to open the teak wood doors each day to allow the sea breeze to flow through the house was incredible. We had perfect weather every day other than a brief shower and the temperatures at night with the breeze were very soothing. We had no problem sleeping by opening the bedroom door just enough to allow a breeze. The firm bed was very comfortable and has a mosquito net if you choose to use. The pool is great and the landscape beautiful with a large variety of plants. From the start , Alan and his housekeeper Murline were very responsive and friendly, Alan hooked us up with taxis and our jeep rental. So much to say, this is for the couple who wants seclusion. Try Firefly restaurant nearby, amazing! Visit the beaches by the house, so private.
