Stanley's camp is fantastic. I want to come every year. I paddled all over the lake in the kayak. There were also a canoe, row boat, and paddle boat. Enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning and watched the trees change colors before my eyes. A million stars at night. The lake is peaceful. Wifi is solid. No cell service (yay!) but access to a landline, if needed. Highly recommended.

I will start with the positives! The location is absolutely amazing!! We felt like we were on a cruise ship! The area surrounding the house is outdoorsy, open, private, and comfortable, especially with the firepit and bbqs. The king bed is sooo comfy. There were plenty of kitchen items! Again.. location = A+. Not so good: the owner had notes for us to do dishes in an old tub, and throw water outside. I guess you might call this a form of Glamping? The internet was very weak, as far as TV watching.. and the pot belly stove was awesome.. when we could get it to work.

The location is perfect! Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Right on the water, with access to the owners kayak, paddle board and small boat. The perfect get a away.

This was nice camp with out of this world views, a very relaxing place. It was like staying at the family cottage.

It's a cozy cabin with a gas burning stove for heat, all the extra blankets you could need and clean, warm flannel sheets. The master bedroom has it's own sliding door and covered deck where I enjoyed coffee outside even on rainy days. There's a large screened in porch that I imagine is great when there are bugs, but there were none at all in October. The tap water is lake water, so no drinking it, no cell phone service at all, but great internet connection and smart TV with all the services. This is just the right kind of available but not TOO available so you can enjoy your surroundings... Because, really, this spot cannot be beat. It is RIGHT on the water with views to die for. I wish I could add pictures, because the fall colors on the mountain and reflecting in the lake are stunning. And the stars at night - wow. Location, location, location. Off the beaten track but close enough to grab take out for dinner. It's like if your great uncle Joe let you use his camp. You can tell cousin Janey was here last because the grill wasn't cleaned and there was a Twisted Tea, mostly drunk, on the bathroom sink. But she left you some local tomatoes and cider, so it's all good. I'd love to come back in a warmer months to swim and paddle around the lake. I will return!
