Charles and his family were very welcoming. They even offered us lunch. My sister and I only stayed a few hours because we had a long layover. I would stay at Charles place again.

This is a friendly, welcoming Tanzanian home. It's not a hotel. It's what Air B$Bs were originally designed to be before they began to compete with hotels. The room was adequate and private, definitely worth what I paid for it. The dinner in the evening was simple and delicious and only cost $4. Breakfast was also delicious. On the map it looks like you can walk to it from the airport but don't even try. The roads in the area are unpaved and rutted. Charles very helpfully arranged transport for me. You are invited to make the place your home and if you're after a Tanzanian home stay experience, this is a good place to get it.

A little difficult to find with a bolt because of ongoing road construction. You need to follow the map and then call the host. Not far from the airport. It's a good place for just few hours.
